DAVIE, Fla. Balenciaga Sneakers Canada . -- With another new coach and another new playbook, its the same old Miami Dolphins. They begin training camp July 29 hitting the reset button yet again and hoping this season will somehow be different. Adam Gase, the NFLs youngest head coach at 38, has installed a new offense with the help of new coordinator Clyde Christensen, and the defense has also been revamped under new coordinator Vance Joseph. There are also 45 newcomers on the roster for a franchise where turnover and transition are the norm. Gase is Miamis ninth coach since 2004, and hell have plenty to sort out in camp as the Dolphins try to lay the foundation for a turnaround.Theyll play in an upgraded stadium thanks to a $500 million renovation that includes a canopy. But will the team be better? The Dolphins havent been to the playoffs since 2008, havent won a postseason game since 2000, and finished last in the AFC East in 2015 at 6-10.Here are some keys to gaining ground on perennial champion New England and the rest of the division:THE LEADER: Gase was the offensive coordinator for the high-scoring Denver Broncos in 2013-14, but also for the last-place Chicago Bears in 2015. Confident and jocular, he likes to talk trash with his players, which makes him a stark contrast to staid Joe Philbin, who ran the past four training camps.Players rave about Gase, but then he hasnt lost a game yet.Hes very vibrant, tight end Jordan Cameron said. He has so much confidence in his ability to call plays and set up an offense, and thats kind of contagious. Hes definitely a players coach, he knows how to communicate to us and hes very black and white, which is good. Its been awesome so far. Were in the beginning stages and we have a lot of work to do, but I think weve definitely gotten off on the right foot.CAMP COMPETITION: At least five starting jobs are up for grabs: both guard spots, running back, defensive tackle, cornerback. Not even first-round draft pick Laremy Tunsil is assured of starting the opener, but having so many unsettled situations isnt all bad.Thats how we are rolling, Gase said. You have to earn your spot. I dont think youve seen anybody really get plugged in and anointed anything. Everybody is battling. Thats what we want. We want competition. We want guys to earn their spots. If youre a veteran player, a lot of guys respect that because they know its not going to be handed to anybody.TEAM STRENGTH: The front four could rank among the NFLs best if Mario Williams and Cameron Wake return to form. Williams, 31, signed a $17 million, two-year deal with Miami after he totaled just five sacks for the Buffalo Bills in 2015. Wake, 34, is mounting a comeback from a torn Achilles tendon last October.Another question mark with upside potential is defensive end Dion Jordan, who is expected to return after sitting out last season for his latest violation of the NFLs substance abuse policy.Four-time Pro Bowl tackle Ndamukong Suh anchors the middle, and offseason acquisitions Andre Branch and Chris Jones help depth.Im always going to feel good about that group, because we have very talented players, Gase said. But you cant just sit here and be like, `Oh, I feel great about this certain position. At the end of the season -- thats when you get excited.BALL CARRIERS: There will be a scramble for playing time in a crowded backfield following the departure of Lamar Miller to Houston via free agency.Jay Ajayi is the leading returnee after rushing for 187 yards as a rookie last year, but he could get stiff competition from four-time Pro Bowl back Arian Foster, a newcomer who says he has recovered from a torn Achilles tendon. Kenyan Drake, a third-round pick from Alabama, will compete for a backup role.TANNEHILLS TIME: This season could determine whether Ryan Tannehill can be a franchise quarterback. Hes 29-35 in four seasons with the Dolphins, has yet to lead them to a winning record and back slid in 2015, when his completion percentage, touchdowns and passer rating declined.Gase won praise for his work with Peyton Manning, Jay Cutler and even Tim Tebow. He plans to give Tannehill more responsibility with play calling, and teammates have applauded the move. This is what Ryan has been waiting for his whole career, to go out there and be the guy to kind of call the show, center Mike Pouncey said. That also means more blame for Tannehill if things go wrong, as they have so often done in recent years for the Dolphins.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL---Follow Steven Wine on Twitter: http://twitter.com/Steve-Wine. Lucic scored on a power play at 15:46 of the third period, when he tipped a shot over Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen for a 3-1 lead. Balenciaga Canada Cheap . While hell be dialed in to that tournament on a course he loves, you can forgive him if his eyes glance down the calendar just a bit, towards April. Jim Harbaugh went on and on, as if his incessant whining would overturn the result of what was, in effect, a playoff game before the playoffs begin.Anyone who listened to Harbaugh in his last year in San Francisco would have easily recognized the tone. Its what he does when things go bad, and go bad they did Saturday in a thriller at Ohio State that took two overtimes to decide. The outburst cost Michigan $10,000 in the form of a fine Monday from the Big Ten, pocket change when the coach makes $7 million a year. What was far more costly to Michigan was blowing a 10-point fourth quarter lead in a game it dearly needed. Now Michigan waits on the outside, hoping against hope for a Hail Mary that will give the Wolverines one of the four prized spots in the College Football Playoff. The fact that its not totally impossible shows how little things have changed since the five big conferences that rule college football scrapped the Bowl Championship Series three seasons ago.Yes, the players get paid a little more, so date night may now include a movie as well as a pizza. And four teams now have a chance to prove their case on the field instead of the two anointed each year by the BCS.But its still subjective, with the final four teams and pairings decided behind closed doors in a conference room in Texas. The first two years of the new system were relatively easy, but that all figures to change this week in one of the oddest years in college football. The new rankings will be out Tuesday, and they will be read like tea leaves for an indication where the committee is going. But the real fun comes on Sunday, when the conference title games are over and the playoff teams are named.Former Secretary of State and committee member Condoleezza Rice may need all her diplomatic skills to pacify the schools left out.Right now, Michigan seems to be on the outside looking in, though that could change with losses by Washington and Clemson in their conference championship games. Actually, a lot of things could change if Washington or Clemson lose, though you have to figure Alabama is a playoff lock and Ohio State isnt far behind. What could keep committee members up all night Saturday, though, would be a win by Penn State over Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game. There would be a lot of unhappy people in Happy Valley if the Nittaany Lions won the conference championship and were left out of the playoffs. Discount Balenciaga. Theyd be even unhappier if Ohio State -- a team Penn State beat at home this year -- got in instead. Thats despite the fact the committee has already indicated it thinks Ohio State has a better resume than the team it lost to.That aside, its anyones guess what kind of thinking is going on behind those closed doors in Texas. Depending on the outcomes of the conference title games, there are various scenarios that could see Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State or even Colorado find their way into the playoffs. Its entirely possible that winning a conference championship may not be enough, which should give pause to those who insist conference title games are more than just a chance to haul in millions more in television revenue.None of it is particularly clear. What is clear, though, is that the new way of crowning a national champion still falls short of a true playoff system. In too many ways it still feels like the BCS, where in some years it was difficult to figure out just what the criteria for getting in the title game was. That included the 2006-07 season, where Urban Meyer, then at Florida, famously lobbied to poll voters who helped jump the Gators over Michigan into the national championship contest.Meyer may want to do some more lobbying this week just to make sure his Buckeyes are in. Nothing is certain, though he and a lot of others cant fathom the committee leaving Ohio State out.I think were one of the top teams in the country, Meyer said after Ohio State escaped with an improbable win over Michigan. As for Harbaugh, he may be incapable of putting together a coherent case for his team. He spent almost all his post-game press conference complaining about the officiating , when he should have been talking about how a team that lost by a point at Iowa and in double overtime at Ohio State could still be one of the four best teams in the country. Not to worry, though. Leaving Michigan out of the playoff series will give him something to really whine about.----Tim Dahlberg is a national sports columnist for The Associated Press.
