What I suggest to combat against the rising illicit Clean Slates:It's clear as day that botters have taken advantage of the Elite System from day one of it's release. Maplestory2 Mesos are able to farm massive quantities of countless items, among these being sterile Slate Scrolls. The elimination of Clean Slate Scrolls as a drop in Elite Monsters & Bonus Stage Rare Purple Chests will interfere with the benefit of these botters.

Spell Trace Variant of Clean Slates Implementation: Something else has to be put into it's place if sterile Slates were eliminated from the Elite System. Why Spell Traces is because of it's allows diverse type of upgrades. Enabling this option allows players to utilize specific number of Spell Traces on gear with failed slots. Spell Traces can also be farmed by a number of other methods besides the Elite System that are way more successful in the long term.

I am well aware the Field System also drops Spell Traces, and I'd push for it's removal because of botters. However that is an entirely different conversation. I also know that my proposal may need some reviews from other players about their opinions of the present game and my suggestion.
