From its low-poly graphics to its point-and-click port, Old School is about as barebones as it receives, but simplicity is not necessarily a terrible thing. There's no fat on Runescape, and OSRS buy gold works as, more than anything, it's a game about setting and accomplishing goals.

It is about boosting your account by reaching the end lines you set for yourself, whether that is earning enough money to buy a costly thing or training a skill to 99. You decide exactly what you would like to do, and also with every milestone you strike, you unlock new items to do. I went to Old School with a clear short-term goal in mind: complete Recipe for Disaster, Runescape's hardest and famous quest. To do this, I would need to finish dozens of different quests and train multiple skills to adequate levels, making it a terrific way to see a great deal of the game in a short while. For new players, it is also the best means to learn how Runescape handles quests.

There is no defined effort or main storyline in Runescape. Instead, its universe is fleshed out through quests that are structured like stories. Runescape's quests aren't disposable tasks like the draw quests you pick up from random NPCs in several MMOs--at least, the majority of them aren't. In 1 quest, by constructing a study tower I unwittingly helped a lot of researchers develop a homunculus, and then I needed to calm the confused, malformed being I'd helped produce.
