For reference, I'd say that you are expected to keep such as 90%-95% uptime on your turning on the boss/other combat mechanisms. For other predators and me personally I know, you're lucky if you can get uptime. And that's only from being unable to target correctly and repositioning.
Within my 5 months of playing I've had no fewer than 6 epiphanies about a mechanic I'm dramatically misunderstood or didn't know existed. It unforgiving for runescape players.How am I supposed to understand how significant Armor Penetration is contrasted Agility? How do I pick between armor/weapons that have numbers for stats? The dozens of gear guides out there will tell you exactly what the possible mix of things is, but not how to optimize it if you don't have any/all of that gear.
How would I know exactly what the maximum functional amount of this"hit rating" stat is for my class if someone hadn't told me? How do the Ability, attack power, harm per second, and struck rating compare for scenarios? It's so insanely I would not have enjoyed it if I had not started it with a WoW friend who got me into a useful and expert guild. Talk about clunky and complex. I guess it is only fortunate that there are no healers or buffing courses in Runescape (I assume).I have been playing RS3 off and on for quite some time. But there came a point at which I gave up since the PvE was getting way too complicated for me, and not in a good way. I really like EoC. Like others, it tried again once it was elegant a bit and it was really fun, although I didn't at first. Abilities like slayer really fun for me personally. PvE was also fun at this point in time. Peoplen't do those bizarre 4taa tricks and we didn't have a million item buttons. I enjoyed the runescape game at this time a lot. But now just thinking about having to understand all that until I could execute it 19, and practice it. Seems bothersome.
The tick process is simply clunky. It stinks because I put my friends they think its just lag and detect the how to make money fast on osrs tick system. Then I tell them and it is an automatic quit from them. Considering that the is a runescape sub I would like to say it feels OSRS is moving down the same road. Gone are the days where Jagex could launch. Every boss should have intricate mechanics and switches.
