He spoke to reporters Thursday at the teams football media day and started the session by reeling off answers to the inevitable questions.- Yes, hes recovered from the foot injury and has no limitations.- Yes, having Heisman winner Ty Detmer as the new offensive coordinator is great and there are no concerns about his new pro-style offense.- No, there isnt any beef with fellow quarterback Tanner Mangum as they compete for the starting job.Hill and his situation are the biggest question marks for the team this season considering the first four years of his career. Three of those have culminated in season-ending injuries, but 2013 saw him throw for 2,938 yards and rush for 1,344 with 29 combined touchdowns and a lot of Heisman hype.Hill was awarded an extra year of eligibility with a medical exception and decided to return to BYU after getting to know new coach Kalani Sitake and Detmer, adding, Im a BYU guy. But while he was out, Mangum set school freshman records with 3,377 passing yards and 23 touchdowns.Hill certainly didnt return to sit, but is no lock to win the job.When it comes to competition, the competition is with yourself, Hill said. Tanners a great kid and good football player, so it motivates you to work hard and all that. But ultimately at the end of the day, Im trying to be as good as I possibly can.Detmer and Sitake said they wont wait until the first game to make the decision on a starting quarterback but will give Hill and Mangum ample opportunities to make their case for the job during fall camp.The two are good friends and Mangum insists its not a Team Taysom or Team Tanner situation.Competition brings the best out of everyone, Mangum said. Were obviously in a unique position with two quarterbacks that have experience, but thats a good problem to have. He and I push each other knowing every play youve got to bring your best effort. Youve got to bring your A game every day. Its a healthy completion. Its not divisive. Its not negative.Hill was still limited in spring practices, so he hasnt seen full action in the new scheme. Hell be under center more and running less, but Detmer has no plans to confine him to the pocket.Hill said hes a quarterback first and would prefer throwing touchdowns, but when the games on the line, hes going to do what it takes to win the football game regardless of worries about staying healthy.Hill said hes tested the foot enough to know its fully healed and even ripped off a dunk upon request at a recent fan event.Its the old, `If someone told you to jump off a bridge sort of deal, Sitake joked. It was a good teaching moment. Were going to have to teach him to slide and step out of bounds once in a while. It wasnt the nicest dunk Ive ever seen, but it was good to see his bodys healing up.Detmer has no plans to use a two-quarterback system and thinks it keeps either from finding a rhythm. And there will be no quick hook for whoever wins the job.If we believe one of thems the guy ... hes going to get every opportunity to play and grow in the offense, Detmer said.

There is no shame in targeting the 76ers, and given that Z-Bo hasnt played in 11 days (personal), it stands to reason that he will be the focal point of this offense. Heck...that was pretty much the case prior to his hiatus, as he owns a usage rate that is higher than Steph Curry this season. Randolphs upside is limited a bit, but his customary 23-to-26 minutes should be enough for him to return value and then some against a 76ers team that has yielded considerable production to opposing big men this season. I have nothing against the top big man on the board tonight in Hassan Whiteside, but is his production going to be near twice that of Randolph? Im thinking not and will gladly save some coin at center while I spend up at PG andd SF.

Hell be a popular choice on a short slate thanks to recency bias, but Im opting to go elsewhere at point guard tonight.Kyle Soppe -- Kyle Soppe - Bradley Beal, Washington WizardsListen, Beal is what he is: a strong shooter that doesnt offer a ton else to fantasy owners. Thats a concerning skill set tonight against a Magic defense that has exceled at challenging shooters (third lowest 3P% against this season). Not only do the Magic defend the 3-pointer well, there is no guarantee that Beal knocks down the open looks he does manage. Consider this, in 2014, Beal connected on 36.1-percent of his 3-point attempts on the second night of a back-to-back. That number dropped to 32.3 percent last season and currently sits at an ugly 28.6 percent this season. There is something to be said for a shooter losing his legs, and with Beal playing 36 minutes last night in Brooklyn, Im not playing with fire tonight. Beal is averaging a career-low 6.0 assists-plus-rebounds, so if the jumper isnt falling, the fantasy points arent coming. Id rather pay up for Jimmy Butler or save some capital and go with a confident Troy Daniels or a constantly under-appreciated Rodney Hood.
