Prior
to entering it. Just an example of one of them. Made a few posts in the
past about this as have others. These services have been used by gamers
for the previous 2 years in Maplestory. They were only blocked this
season on May the 22nd which was when significant DDOS
Maplestory Mesos
attacks were occurring and Maple had lots of downtime. When they solved
the problems no one was able to connect with these services anymore.
Most likely blocked along with everything else.Tunneling solutions to
lower latency likely to be unblocked and awknowledged?
Since that
time, others and I haven't made an attempt to contact these services
about the issue connecting to Global Maplestory, but we have also
contacted Nexon relating to this through service. Both services told me
they might no longer connect either even after conducting multiple
evaluations and trying different things. I've gotten mixed responses
from Nexon. I really don't believe the first one knew what I was asking
as he just said he'd pass it on to the developers. I tried again a
couple months later and had been satisfied with a different reaction.
As
you can see them seem to think it's just as any other private network.
VPNs are clearly contrary to the TOS and while W[tfast and Battleping
are equally private networks they alone should not be blocked as they
are used by tens of thousands of gamers who suffer with high latency.
Battleping also uses the users IP address to login before connecting
through the US server which Nexon will be able to see I'd assume.
He
also states the game should be playable without these services that you
have a broadband connection that's not correct. The waits are clear as
day and not everyone lives close to the servers in the US. With no
solutions the overall gameplay experience isn't smooth. There are
noticeable flaws in strikes and buffing. Also trying to pull off a
double flash leap close to instantly is impossible
buy Maplestory M Mesos without those solutions.
You
don't need to have control over these 3rd party services. You simply
need to unblock them. I found this too. As you can see that this is
quite recent. I don't know if they're still trying to have it working
together with the development group but a word on this would be fine.
They
encourage 80+ MMO games and if you visit any of their forums and ask if
the usage of these services like Battleping is allowed they will tell
you that it's. There's no reason why these ought to be blocked. Not
everybody who is in GMS service place is about 20-50ms ping
maplestory discussion. Maybe get into contact with them and see if you can restrict access to these providers only.
