Although the new season is not yet upon us, that doesn't mean the team over at Ubisoft aren't hard at work on their favorite Rainbow Six Siege Credits title. In the latest piece of news from the dev team, the Hereford base is trading in its dull aesthetic to get a more historic feel during its most recent rework. We have to confess, it seems quite nice!
The objective of the overhaul would be to"increase the criteria" of their gameplay experience whilst handling all of the bugs and issues players have previously reported. Though the map will still feel like Hereford, this overhaul breathes new life into this comfortable stomping ground.
"The present map as we understand it had been the very first to be prototyped to get Rainbow Six Siege, therefore it only makes sense for this map to be the very first rework. Due to your continued support and feedback, the Dev Team gathered a good number of information to make the necessary repairs, forcing Hereford Base to the next level," Ubisoft stated, regarding the most recent makeover.
Ubisoft then discussed the"spirit" of this map, making sure that players understand that although it's be revamped, it hasn't been forgotten.
"Players can expect a new layout and the map as a whole will probably be larger, meaning that every floor is going to have a larger surface area. Level Designers have also added new stairs to boost movement between each ground, raising the viability of rotations. Level Artists also took this opportunity to upgrade the map of the visual identity and colour palette, giving each floor more personality," Ubisoft added.
Due to that, this rework gave the creative team and designers an opportunity to play something not new to the match, but in turn making it fresh. It was a difficult balance, but one that seems to cover off if the movie at the top of the article is any indicator Wikipedia.
