Fittingly, the two teams vying for the 2019 AFL premiership cup will play on the last Saturday in September, on September 28 - as it should be.
The annual Grand Final parade will be held in Melbourne on Friday, September 27, which remains a public holiday in Victoria.

When is the 2019 AFL Grand Final?
There's been a lot of talk about the Grand Final. Traditionalists want to keep it in its mid-afternoon timeslot, while there's been talks of moving it to a twilight, or even night-time start, ala the NRL. However, at least for 2019, it will remain at 2.30pm - but there's no doubt that the debate will continue to rage on when is the best time to have it. It will also remain a stand-alone game - despite the proposal of a best-of-three series by some.
