The best description of what the Alabama-Auburn football rivalry is all about was given to me many years ago by Gene Stallings, who coached the Crimson Tide from 1990-97. Vapormax Sort Dame .They talk about the Alabama-Auburn game on New Years Day. They talk about in on Memorial Day. They talk about it on the Fourth of July. They talk about it on Labor Day. They talk about on Thanksgiving. They talk about it on Christmas Day. They talk about it 365 days a year. And if youve never lived in the state of Alabama you cant possibly understand. That about sums it up. No college football game in my memory is so ingrained into the daily life of a state. And Ive often said that to call Alabama-Auburn a football rivalry is to vastly understate what it actually is: It is a culture war and the people of the state just use football to fight it.The games have become so famous that they can be summarized with just a few words:Pick Six.Punt Bama PuntBo Over The Top.There so many dramatic and historic moments, in this rivalry:1989: The first time the game was ever played at Auburns Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn upset No.2 Alabama 30-20 and knocked the Crimson Tide out of a chance at the national championship.1985: Van Tiffins 52-yard field goal on the last play of the game to give Alabama a 25-23 win in Birmingham.2010: Auburn rallies from a 24-0 deficit to beat Alabama 28-27 in Tuscaloosa on the way to a national championship. On Saturday there will be another showdown between these two storied programs. Alabama (10-0) is again No. 1 and has a clearly-defined path to another national championship. Auburn cant win a championship but the Tigers could spoil it for their hated rival, which is just as sweet.I cant wait. Here are some other SEC story lines to watch on this Rivalry Weekend:?Tennessee (8-3, 5-3) lost its chance to go to Atlanta when Florida won at LSU last Saturday. But the Vols could finish 9-3 and get a very nice bowl trip if they can go on the road and beat a very tough team from Vanderbilt (5-6, 2-5).It would be Tennessees first nine-win regular season since 2007, when the Vols reached the SEC championship game. But keep in mind that Vanderbilt has been a tough out for just about everybody. The Commodores five SEC losses have been by 3, 7, 7, 7, and 9 points. They just manhandled Ole Miss 38-17 last week. They beat Georgia in Athens 17-16. This will be a tough, hard-fought, game. After a gut-check of a win (16-10) last Saturday at LSU, Florida (8-2, 6-2) is headed back to the SEC championship game for a record 12th time. Before focusing on Alabama there is the rather large matter of playing No. 14 Florida State (8-3) in Tallahassee. This is not only an important game for bragging rights, but winning it would keep alive Floridas long-shot hopes of making the College Football Playoffs. If Florida?could beat LSU (on the road), Florida State (on the road), and No. 1 Alabama in successive weeks the Gators would be the SEC champions at 10-2.??Speaking of Ole Miss (5-6, 2-5), it will be senior day in Oxford for the annual Egg Bowl with Mississippi State (4-7, 2-5). This has been a disappointing season for an Ole Miss senior class that has been to a New Years Six bowl in each of the past two seasons. But a lot of those wounds would be healed by beating the Bulldogs and earning a bowl trip. For Mississippi State, life after Dak Prescott has not been a lot of fun. Beating the rival the Bulldogs affectionately call That School Up North would make the offseason a little brighter.Ray Goff, the former Georgia quarterback and head coach, once told me that Georgia Tech is absolutely Georgias biggest rival. If you dont believe it, just trying losing to them sometime, said Goff.Georgia has won 13 of the last 15 meetings with the team they call The North Avenue Trade School but the last loss to the Yellow Jackets really sticks in the craw of the Bulldogs. In that game Georgia led 24-21 with only seconds left. But Georgia Tech kicked a 53-yard field goal on the last play of the game and then won in overtime 30-24. It was one of the most gut-wrenching losses of the Mark Richt era (2001-2015) era at Georgia.A win would give first-year coach Kirby Smart wins over two of Georgias biggest rivals. Thats important. After an 0-2 start Kentucky (6-5, 4-4) rallied and has become eligible for its first bowl trip since 2010. Mark Stoops should get some SEC Coach of the Year votes. The only thing that could make this season sweeter for the Wildcats would be to knock off their state rival in Louisville (9-2). Louisville, ranked No. 11 and was in the national championship discussion until losing to Houston on Nov. 17. The Cardinals probably have an Orange Bowl bid in hand. How excited will they be to play this game?South Carolina (6-5, 3-5) is in the same boat as the Gamecocks travel to No. 4 Clemson (10-1).South Carolina has won four of its past five games since taking the redshirt off of freshman quarterback Jake Bentley. The Gamecocks have already qualified for a bowl. Beating the state rival would put the perfect finish on Will Muschamps first year as head coach. Nike Joyride Run Danmark . Mickelson barely made the cut but had the best round of the day with nine birdies and an eagle coupled with two bogeys to sit two shots behind leader Craig Lee of Scotland. Lee shot a 69 for a 12-under 204 total. "I just love the fact I am in contention and have an opportunity in my first tournament of the year here in Abu Dhabi," Mickelson said. Vapormax Plus Herre Danmark . He was followed closely by David Clarkson, donning red, seconds later. Clarksons actions one night earlier, leaping off the bench in defence of Kessel during a pre-season game against the Buffalo Sabres, will cost him the first 10 games of the regular season. http://www.vapormaxdanmark.com/ .ca NHL Power Rankings for the second straight week, ahead of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Avalanche. OKLAHOMA CITY -- A gunman lay in wait outside Oklahoma Citys Will Rogers World Airport on Tuesday before shooting and killing a Southwest Airlines employee in a premeditated attack that occurred while hundreds of people waited for flights nearby, police said.Michael Winchester, 52, was shot while walking between a crowded terminal and the airport employee parking area. The unidentified suspect was later found dead in a pickup truck in public parking garage overlooking the scene. Police said the suspect appeared to die of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.Oklahoma City Police Capt. Paco Balderrama said the shooter apparently knew the victims schedule and routine. This individual went there and waited for the employee to either be coming or going to take this opportunity, Balderrama said. He wouldnt say conclusively that it was a sniper-type attack. The 1 p.m. shooting set off a scramble at the airport, with police immediately closing the sprawling complex and asking passengers inside to seek cover. They diverted incoming flights and refused to give already-loaded aircraft permission to leave. There were concerns the gunman might have entered the terminal and mingled among passengers or employees. We have a heightened level of security all the time. These people have access to aircraft so were very concerned about that, airport spokeswoman Karen Carney said.Winchester- whose address is listed as Washington, Oklahoma, about 35 miles south of the airport -- was a former University of Oklahoma football player whose son James is a player for the Kansas City Chiefs. It is with great sorrow that Southwest Airlines confirms that a Southwest Employee who was injured during a shooting incident today at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City has died from injuries, the airline said in a statement. It canceled flights out of the city for the remainder of the day even though the rest of the terminal planned to reopen.Hundreds of people were stranded inside the terminal for more than three hours before officers began letting them leave slowly. Carney said about 300 people were held on aircraft away from the terminal after their planes landed ahead off a ground stop. Vapormax Sort Herre Danmark. Once police determined that a suspect found in a red pickup truck on the second floor of a public parking garage was dead, officers gave an all-clear.The airport handles between 7,000 and 8,000 passengers daily for Alaska, Delta, Southwest and United airlines and has a separate terminal that serves as a transfer center for federal inmates. A jet carrying inmates to the transfer site was allowed to land while the rest of the airport was shuttered.Video from a television station helicopter showed what appeared to be a pool of blood about 100 feet from the airports employee parking area -- and about 100 yards from the airports ticket counters and departure area. While airports have high security, it wasnt immediately known whether surveillance cameras might show the shooting, Balderrama said.Balderrama initially said police had received reports of a possible second victim, but no one was found.Police found the suspects truck in the garage about three hours after the shooting and determined that someone was inside. They were not sure whether he was dead or alive. After about 75 minutes, using a robot, officers determined the suspect was dead.A number of inbound flights were diverted to other airports after Will Rogers suspended operations. Southwest redirected one flight back to Dallas while a Las Vegas to Houston flight that stops in Oklahoma City went to Amarillo, Texas, instead. Two commercial flights from Chicagos OHare Airport were directed to Tulsa, about 100 miles away.Michael Winchester was a punter on the University of Oklahomas 1985 national championship team. Our hearts are truly heavy for the entire Winchester Family.
