The Giants are in the Easter division of the NFC of the NFL. History follows this team in that they were one of five teams that joined the NFL in 1925 and are the only one admitted that year that is still in existence. There is something to be said for a team that has lasted in the NFL for at least 53 years.
The Giants have an impressive history with titles as well as longevity. They rank third among all NFL teams with seven titles. Four titles were garnered in the pre super bowl era. Those were the years of 1927, 1934, 1938 and 1956. They have gotten three titles since the beginning of the super bowl days. These were in the years 1986 with Super Bowl XXI, 1990 with Super Bowl XXV and 2007 with Super Bowl XLII. Their championship record is only bettered by the Green Bay Packers with 12 and the Chicago Bears with nine.
The Giants have 15 of their players featured in the Football Hall of Fame. These include some very famous players of MVP status. These include Mel Hein Authentic Todd Gurley II Jersey , Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, Y.A.Tittle, and Lawrence Taylor. The Giants won the NFL championship on February 3, 2008, further cementing their place in memorable pro football history.
Many local New Yorkers refer to The Giants as the New York Football Giants. This was done in the beginning history of the team to distinguish it from the professional baseball team that had the same type of name. In their third season, the team finished with a very good record at 11 1 1 and received the NFL title. There were no play offs or super bowl in those days. In those days, college football was all the rage and many did not think that pro players were as good as their college counterparts. So in 1930, the Giants played a team of Notre Dame All Stars to raise charity money and to also prove to many that pro players were the superior ball players. Famous Knute Rockne was the leader of the All Stars but they still got beat by the pro team and in fact the All Stars did not even get to score. This is the game that is credited with establishing the legitimacy of the professional football game as we know it.
So in my mind, the NFL and America?s favorite sports past time have a lot to be thankful for due to the New York Giants.

Kim Kardashian West is opening up about expecting her third child via surrogate.
ET recently spoke with the 37-year-old reality superstar about her newest fragrance, KKW Crystal Gardenia Brian Allen Jersey , where she also opened up about growing her family with husband Kanye West. Kim, who had notoriously difficult pregnancies with both 4-year-old daughter North and 1-year-old son Saint, acknowledges that her experience so far with a surrogate has been a big adjustment.
"You know, it is really different," Kim tells ET's Keltie Knight. "Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong. I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control. And Joseph Noteboom Jersey , you know, obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still ... knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it's hard for me. Kim acknowledges that she didn't anticipate the hardships she's experienced so far.
"I hated being pregnant and I never thought I'd ever ... I thought this was going to be so easy, but you know, even in how much I hated it, if I could do it myself I would have preferred that," Kim admits. "So, that inner struggle is kind of hard Jamon Brown Jersey , but I am just rolling with it and it is what it is."
Of course, Kim is grateful that she is able to welcome another child.
"I think it is definitely a different experience and I am blessed that I am able to do this, and technology is the way that it is that we can do this," she shares. "But it is still a process that you need to digest. Even the fact that it is happening -- and you do forget sometimes -- because I think when you are pregnant, by the time you have the baby, you are so prepared and so ready Josh Reynolds Jersey , and now I am just like, 'Oh my God I am going to freak out because I'm not ready and I'm not prepared,' but it'll just all come into place."
