Norman, OK (SportsNetwork. Cheap Hockey Jerseys .com) - The historic Battle of Bedlam is on tap for Saturday afternoon at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, as the 18th- ranked Oklahoma Sooners play host to the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Big 12 Conference regular-season finale. At just 5-6 overall (3-5 Big 12), Oklahoma State is in danger of missing out on bowl season for the first time since 2005. After an excellent 5-1 start to the season, the Cowboys have dropped five straight games, most recently falling at nationally-ranked Baylor on Nov. 22, 49-28. Despite his teams struggles, coach Mike Gundy remains optimistic about his teams progress. Weve had a number of young players who have continued to improve, Gundy said. Unfortunately, we probably played out best game weve played in six weeks last night against what could have very well been the best team on our schedule this year. Oklahoma had sky-high expectations coming into the season as the No. 4 team in the country, but it has fallen well short of its lofty goals by dropping out of the Big 12 race with three losses this season to all three teams ahead of it in the standings - TCU (37-33), Kansas State (31-30) and Baylor (48-14). Since their most recent setback the Sooners have righted the ship with two straight wins to get reintroduced to the polls, most recently downing Kansas at home on Nov. 22, 44-7. (Oklahoma State is) one of the teams that are better than the record indicates, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. They always do a good job with balance, run and pass. Gundys teams are always that way. Its been a one-sided all-time series, with Oklahoma holding to a 83-18-7 advantage, including a 39-9-2 showing in Norman. Oklahoma State doesnt fit in very well in the high-scoring Big 12, as it ranks in the bottom half of the league in terms of both scoring (26.5 ppg) and yardage (369.7 ypg). Daxx Garman (.549 completions, 2,041 yards, 12 TDs, 12 INTs) missed the Baylor game with a concussion and is questionable to return on Saturday. In Garmans absence the last time out, Mason Rudolph had an uneven performance, throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns but on just 13-of-25 passing with a pair of interceptions. The Cowboys have run more rushing plays this season (431) than passing (339), but they have only picked up 3.5 yards per carry for 137.5 ypg. Desmond Roland (579 yards, eight TDs) and Tyreek Hill (496 yards, TD) earn the most work. David Glidden (39 receptions, 549 yards, two TDs) and Brandon Sheperd (27 yards, 483 yards, two TDs) anchor a modest receiving corps. The Cowboys defense has not done a good job picking up the slack for an underachieving offense, as they allow 31.7 ppg and 438.5 ypg. Emmanuel Ogbah is one of the best pass rushers in the league with 16.5 TFL and 11.0 sacks, while Josh Furman (12.0 TFL, 6.0 sacks) has found some success opposite him. Jordan Sterns and Ryan Simmons are tied for the team lead in tackles with 85. Ramon Richards has picked off three passes. The Sooners possess a potent offense, as they rack up 39.3 ppg and 485.6 ypg, and the unit is riding high after a record-setting performance by its freshman tailback the last time out. Just a week after Wisconsins Melvin Gordon set a single-game FBS rushing record, Semaje Perine topped it with a historic performance of his own against Kansas by running for 427 yards and five touchdowns. The guy is just so exceptional in everything that he does, Stoops said. We were thinking about resting him, and then someone said he only needs 35 more yards, and you know, thats just too close not to do it, and there was too much time left in the game. Perines emergence late in the season has left him with 1,428 yards and 19 touchdowns on 214 carries (6.7 ypc). Perine and the running game were leaned on heavily in the Kansas win with quarterback Trevor Knight (2,197 passing yards, 340 rushing yards, 19 TDs, nine INTs) out with a concussion. Even with a bye week in between, Knight will not be ready to play on Saturday, leaving another start for Cody Thomas, whos completed just 20-of-49 passes this season for 222 yards, a touchdown and four picks, although his rushing numbers (149 yards, TD) have been stellar. Thomas presence under center has hindered the production of the receivers, especially Sterling Shepard (59 receptions, 957 yards, five TDs), whos bidding for an All-Conference selection at years end. The Sooners defense has not lived up to the expectations of a Stoops-led unit, but they have nonetheless played admirably this season in allowing only 23.5 ppg while forcing 18 turnovers. Zack Sanchez has a large say in the turnover battle with five interceptions. Dominique Alexander is the leading tackler with 93 stops and Eric Striker generates a strong pass rush with 13.5 TFL and 7.0 sacks. Cheap NHL Jerseys From China . 1 overall pick in the draft by the Houston Texans, is recovering from sports hernia surgery. NHL Jerseys Wholesale . The 21-year-old Canadian earned a spot in his third career ATP final on Saturday thanks to his first Top 10 victory of the new tennis season, a 6-4, 6-4 win over world no. 10 Nicolas Almagro of Spain.WINNIPEG -- B.C.s Adam Bighill had the game of his life Friday as he helped force at least three turnovers on the way to a 53-17 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and lock down a playoff spot for the Lions. "Thats probably stats-wise one of the most impressive professional games Ive ever played," he said. "Its not something you go out there and try to do. You just go out there and play every down and what happens happens." The first quarter was a comedy of errors for the Bombers, who opened with a turnover as Will Ford bobbled a lateral from quarterback Max Hall on his first play of the game. Bighill, a linebacker, snatched it up in the scramble and took it 30 yards for the Lions first touchdown. One way or another, the Lions defence accounted for most of their points, with three touchdowns in the first half alone. "The defence putting up points like that, it doesnt come very often," said Bighill. That first was just one of seven turnovers for the Bombers (2-11), who had two touchdowns from Clarence Denmark and a field goal from Sandro DeAngelis. Bighill, Nick Moore, Dante Marsh, Cord Parks, Andrew Harris and quarterback Thomas DeMarco had touchdowns for the Lions (9-4). Paul McCallum added three field goals and a couple of singles. DeMarco said the big thing is locking up the playoff spot. "We played a tremendous game, offence, defence and special teams," said the backup, after just his second start and second win since replacing an injured Travis Lulay. "Were heading in the right direction and its just one more win to where we want to go." It was unpleasant all around for the Bombers and their fans, many of whom left early on a cool night with sporadic showers. Buck Pierce got the biggest cheer of the night when he took over from DeMarco in the third quarter. Winnipeg traded Pierce to B.C. at mid-season. Joey Elliott, cut by the Bombers as well before the season started, also saw a little action late in the game for the Lions. The Bombers poor play hasnt helped but a cool night and showers also left the stands emptier than they have been all season. Winnipegs defence was far more effective than the Bombers offence and defensive back Brandon Stewart was clearly frustrated. "We did everything that we could do. We gave them multiple chances on offence," he said. "Defensively we could do notthing but watch it. Wholesale Jerseys. Were on the sidelines. We cant run off the sidelines and go out and tackle people." Coach Tim Burke said the defence played hard. "They were getting banged up but they hung in there." But he had nothing good to say about his offence. "It was pathetic." The Bombers have maintained at least a veneer of optimism in the CFL East where they have maintained a mathematical chance of making the playoffs. But that too slipped Friday night. "You keep playing for something," said veteran offensive lineman Glenn January. "If the playoff picture is out of the question now youve got to play for your jobs, youve got to play for your paycheque, youve got to play for your family back home watching you, youve got to play for the name on the back of your jersey." Things looked up briefly in the first quarter for the Bombers after Hall executed a four-play 54-yard drive and connected with Denmark to tie it less than three minutes later. But a coverage gap let DeMarco cap his own short drive with a throw to a wide-open Moore, who strolled into the end zone. The Bombers werent done with first-quarter gaffes. Ford and Denmark were back to take the kick and basically just watched McCallums 80-yarder bounce between them for a single. Hall was intercepted in the second quarter on his own 28-yard line, which set up McCallums 34-yard field goal at 9:24 to make it 18-7. A little over five minutes later Hall was closing in on the B.C. goal line when he was intercepted again and Dante Marsh returned it 79 yards for another touchdown. Another single on a 50-yard punt from McCallum made it 26-7 and then Akeem Foster fumbled a pass from Hall and set up Parks 45-yard touchdown return. With about a minute left in the first half, though, Hall connected with Denmark again with a 35-yarder to make it 33-14. Jason Boltus came in for Hall in the second half and on his first play threw an interception that led to DeMarcos one-yard run for B.C.s second offensive touchdown. Harris made it 47-14 with a 16-yard run just before the third quarter ended. Boltus fumbled on a throw on his own 11-yard line to set up McCallums 12-yard field goal. DeAngelis kicked a 30-yard field goal with 5:49 left to make it 50-17 but McCallum added another three points for the Lions as well with about a minute and a half left. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '
