Dantonio spoke publicly about the accident Tuesday morning while attending Big Ten media days in Chicago.Dantonio said Sadler, 24, lived a life that was dedicated to making others happy.Mike had a gift of making everyone around him feel special, Dantonio said. Regardless of where you were at in that day or what you had dealt with that day, good or bad, he was going to find a way to make you smile.Sadler was an All-American punter and a four-time Academic All-American during his time in East Lansing from 2011 to 2014. Dantonio said his staff was numb when they received the news about his death Sunday afternoon. Upperclassmen on the current Spartans roster played with Sadler and several expressed their feeling about him on social media since Sunday.Michhigan States players had the week off, but Dantonio said the program would have resources available to help them deal with the tragedy when they return to campus.

No moment was too big a moment for him.Michigan State is planning on establishing a scholarship fund in Sadlers memory. Dantonio said he believes the team will do something to memorialize the former punter during the season, but it was too early to decide exactly what that would be. ' ' '
