BERLIN Colombia Soccer Jersey , Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Free Democratic Party (FDP) and Greens (Gruene) stressed respectively on Wednesday that formidable obstacles remained for a "Jamaica" coalition between their parties and the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) Christian Social Union (CDU) to become reality.
FDP leader Christian Lindner struck a pessimistic tone about the political prospects of what is widely-viewed to be the most likely next constellation to govern Germany.
Some people were misguidedly glorifying a "Jamaica" coalition as a "romantic political project," Lindner told the newspaper "Welt." While it was true that the four parties involved enjoyed an arithmetic majority, they all had distinct mandates from their voters.
Whether these mandates could be combined without contradiction and in the interest of the country was still "written in the stars," according to Lindner. He added that the FDP would only enter a coalition when it could ensure a "change of trend in German politics."
The FDP published a paper containing 10 reform proposals spanning education, over digitalization, migration policy, tax relief and the Eurozone at party conference shortly before Sunday's election.
In a similar fashion, Greens co-leader Simone Peter also drew attention to the conditions for her party's participation in a coalition government.
Speaking in the newspaper "Rheinische Post," Peter warned that there could be no fixed upper limit on the number of refugees admitted to annually enter Germany. The CSU has repeatedly called for this measure, describing it as a binding promise to its voters, while the Greens, FDP and CDU remain opposed.
Acknowledging differences in opinion between the sister parties CDU and CSU, FDP chief Lindner further warned of potential internal disputes between more right- and left-leaning factions of the Greens. Lindner said he would welcome it if Greens politicians who practiced "Realpolitik" gained more influence after the election.
Meanwhile, CDU Deputy Federal Chairwomen Julia Kloeckner rejected calls for her party to lurch to the right in response to electoral losses.
Rather than becoming an "anti-party like the Alternative for Germany (AfD)," the CDU had to address the daily concerns of German citizens who occupied society's political middle-ground in an appropriate and measured fashion, Kloeckner told the newspaper "Neue Passauer Presse," otherwise, "radicals" would gain an opportunity to abuse related fears.
Kloeckner further urged all potential coalition partners to showcase public restraint ahead of political negotiations.
"Every coalition partner has their own ideas, and everyone knows that there must be compromises," Kloeckner said.

Interpol on Wednesday approved the Palestinian Authority's membership bid, a new victory in its drive for international representation despite strong Israeli opposition.
Israel lobbies hard against Palestinian efforts to join global organizations to advance their goal of statehood.
It claimed victory last year when the Palestinian bid to join the global police body was suspended.
Interpol approved the Palestinian application along with a bid by the Solomon Islands during its annual general assembly in Beijing.
"New member countries State of Palestine and Solomon Islands bring Interpol's membership to 192," it said on its Twitter account.
It did not detail the voting but candidacies require the approval of a two-thirds majority of countries present at the general assembly, excluding abstentions.
The Palestine Liberation Organization's negotiations affairs department said on Twitter they had received more than 75 percent of the vote.
"Palestine's membership is the outcome of members defending this organization's raison d'etre and advancing its core values, and a clear rejection of attempts at cynical manipulation and political bullying," Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Malki said in a statement.
Israel's foreign ministry did not -immediately comment.
Palestine gained observer status at the United Nations in 2012 and since then has joined more than 50 international organizations and agreements, according to the Palestinian foreign ministry.
Among them are the International Criminal Court and the United Nations heritage body UNESCO.
Interpol, which is based in the French city of Lyon, eases the exchange of information between police forces and issues "red notices" - non-binding -notifications of arrest warrants - at the request of a member state or an international tribunal.
Senior Palestinian official Jibril Rajoub had said on Sunday that "We're looking to be in all of the international institutions, including Interpol, as an organized state."
"We are looking for the Palestinian state to be a positive contributor toward security and stability in the region and in the international community," he said.
Regarding Israel's opposition, he said, "They don't want any progress toward a Palestinian state."
"Israel does not want us to be in FIFA. How would they want us to be in Interpol?" he said.
