Brickley also was coveted by NHL teams as a free agent last spring, but chose to return to Minnesota State as a junior.
The Kings will introduce Brickley at a news conference Friday in Salt Lake City, Brickley’s hometown. He is the nephew of former Bruins forward Andy Brickley, who also played for the IHL’s Utah Grizzlies.
Eyssimont scored 39 points in 39 games for St. Cloud State this season, leading the Huskies with 17 goals. He was a fifth-round draft pick by the Kings in 2016.
