The volunteers of the women's rights group, known in English as Butterflies in short, have been recognized for helping more than 1,000 women and their families in Buenaventura, a violence-ridden seaport located in western Colombia, said the UN refugee agency.

This year's Nansen Refugee Award will be presented to the group at a ceremony to be held here in Geneva on September 29th.
