WASHINGTON -- In a game long overdue for a clutch hit, along came Hanley Ramirez with a man on second and none out in the 10th inning. Wholesale Air Jordan 4 Ireland . Ramirez already had two singles, but the other team pitched to him anyway. He raised his average to .390 and essentially won the game with an RBI double, the kind of clutch hit the Los Angeles Dodgers have been getting lately -- and the sort of thing that has totally deserted the Washington Nationals. Ramirez drove in Adrian Gonzalez, then scored on Andre Ethiers sacrifice fly in Saturday nights 3-1 win. Among the teammates congratulating Ramirez in the dugout was starter Zack Greinke, who wondered why the Nationals bothered to throw the Dodgers cleanup hitter a strike. "He said: Even me, I would have walked you," Ramirez said. As it turned out, Ramirez and Greinke -- who raised his average to.406 -- combined for half the Dodgers 10 hits, but everything seems to be going right for a team that has won seven of nine and 19 of 24 to pull within a half-game of the first-place Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West. "Were winning all kinds of different ways as the momentum has started to go our way," manager Don Mattingly said. "We lost of lot of these early in the year, but now it seems like were hanging in there, feeling like were going to win these." Ethier won Fridays game with a ninth-inning homer, and the first two games of the series yielded outcomes that kept the teams trending in opposite directions. The Nationals have lost seven of nine to fall below .500 and into third in the NL East. They went 1 for 12 with runners in scoring position and are 2 for 21 with RISP in the series. "Im sure everyone is sick of hearing it, but its got to turn around at some point," Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond said. "And if it doesnt, then were going to keep on trying until we run out of time." In seven of the 10 innings, the Nationals had legitimate scoring chances. They looked like a rock band that decided to play all of its worst hits on the same night. First inning: bases loaded, none out. Second inning: leadoff double. Third inning: pair of one-out singles. Fourth inning: leadoff single. Seventh inning: first and second, one out. Eighth inning: first and third, one out. They failed to score each time. In the fourth, they managed three consecutive fielders choices. Even Greinke is mystified. "They should be scoring more than they have," Greinke said. Greinke allowed the only Nationals run on his final pitch, when pinch-hitter Roger Bernadina hit an RBI single and was thrown out trying to advance to second, ending the sixth inning. The run ended Greinkes scoreless innings streak at 21, a Dodgers season-high. Jose Dominguez, Paco Rodriguez, Ronald Belisario, J.P. Howell, Chris Withrow and Kenley Jansen did the rest. Withrow (1-0) pitched the ninth for his first career win, and Jansen handled the 10th for his 11th save as the Nationals fans, clearly running out of patience, booed their team off the field. The Nationals wasted a solid outing from starter Gio Gonzalez, who matched a career-high with 11 strikeouts. Greinke, who had won five consecutive starts, scattered seven hits and remained one shy of 100 career wins. The Dodgers keep winning even though rookie Yasiel Puig has cooled off. He is 0 for 9 with five strikeouts in the series. "You see a little bit of confusion up there," Mattingly said. "Theyre starting to do some things to him -- he seems to be caught in-between a little bit. Hell be OK. He just needs to catch his wind and clear his head a little bit." Notes: Dodgers OF Matt Kemp (shoulder), eligible to come off the disabled list Sunday, hit in a simulated game for the second straight day and hit two home runs. ... Nationals LHP Ross Detwiler didnt complete a full bullpen session Saturday and will miss at least two more starts while dealing with a lower back strain. ... Washington 1B Adam LaRoche missed his second consecutive game with the flu. Air Jordan 4 Ireland . Now, correct me if Im wrong but I saw one official distinctly pointing at the net indicating a good goal but after an inconclusive review they overturned the goal.  Shouldnt the ruling on the ice (good goal) stand after an inconclusive review?  Why was this overturned?  James Veaudry Pembroke, ON --  Hey Kerry, Youll get a lot of these, but why was the Montreal goal against Nashville Saturday night overturned? Eller puts the puck on net and the on ice ruling from the ref behind the net is a Montreal goal. Cheap Air Jordan 4 For Sale . Ferrer, trying to win his fourth title on Mexican soil, will next play South Africas Kevin Anderson, who eliminated American Sam Querrey,7-6 (2), 6-4. Also Wednesday, Gilles Simon (6) of France beat Donald Young of the United States 6-4, 6-3, Ukraines Alexandr Dolgopolov downed Frenchman Jeremy Chardy 6-3, 6-4 and Croatias Ivo Karlovic defeated Dudi Sela of Israel 7-6 (4), 6-2. http://www.airjordan4ireland.com/ . JOHNS, N. Even in overtime, most of the elite teams in the College Football Playoff race followed the script in what was one of the less chaotic college football Saturdays this season. Each week, though, impacts how the 12 members of the selection committee will view each résumé to determine the first ranking on Nov. 1.Heres a look at whose stock improved in Week 7, and whose dropped:STOCK UPWest Virginia: The Mountaineers were facing some skepticism after four straight home wins against unranked opponents, but went a long way in validating their position as a contender for the Big 12 title with an impressive road win at Texas Tech. The Mountaineers improved to 5-0 for the first time since 2012 and found a way to slow the Texas Tech offense. West Virginia held the Red Raiders to just 17 points -- their fewest in a game over the past two seasons -- and Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes failed to throw multiple passing touchdowns for the first time this season.Alabama: In their second straight road win over a ranked SEC team, the Tide somehow looked even better in their win over Tennessee. It was the most complete game theyve played to date, and this time the secondary showed improvement, adding to another outstanding overall defensive performance. Alabama held Tennessee to 163 yards, returned an interception for a TD, had three sacks and 10 tackles for loss, and stifled quarterback Joshua Dobbs.Big Ten West: Wisconsin was a highlight even in defeat, pushing No. 2 Ohio State to overtime, but the Badgers now need help to win the division as Nebraska is still undefeated. The Cornhuskers escaped a tricky Indiana team, but overall it was a good day for the entire division. Minnesota won. Iowa won. Northwestern won. Even Illinois won. Every team in the division but Purdue and Wisconsin won this weekend.Group of 5: It was another good weekend for both Boise State and Western Michigan, two teams that are still undefeated and in contention for a New Years Six Bowl as the highest-ranked Group of 5 conference champion. Western Michigan, ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 this week for the first time in school history, beat Akron 41-0 and is the front-runner in the MAC. Boise State beat Colorado State and remains the team to beat in the Mountain West. Houston survived a scare from Tulsa, but still needs Navy to lose twice to win the AAC West Division.STOCK DOWNACC Coastal: Now that every team in the Coastal Division has at leasst two overall losses, the ACC and its fans should hope theres NOT an upset in the title game. Air Jordan 4 Ireland Sale. Its one thing to have a one-loss Virginia Tech or Miami run the table and upend the Tigers in the title game, but its another to have a two-loss league champ with a weak strength of schedule as the leagues top team. One week after beating North Carolina on the road, Virginia Tech lost to Syracuse on Saturday. Meanwhile, Miami followed its one-point loss to Florida State with a home loss to North Carolina. Wait, what? The Coastal chaos is in full swing, leaving the division up for grabs and without an elite team.SEC East: Much like the ACCs Coastal Division, the SEC should hope there isnt an upset in its conference title game, because its extremely likely the winner of the East will have two losses. Florida is the only team left in the division with just one overall loss, but the Gators still have to play at Arkansas and at LSU. Tennessee already has two losses, but the Vols own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Florida. Neither team looks capable of pulling of an epic upset in the SEC title game, but the entire East has fallen over the past two weeks along with Tennessee. And thats not even mentioning Georgia, which lost to Vandy.Clemson offense: The Tigers lost three fumbles in NC State territory, and quarterback Deshaun Watson threw the first pick-six of his career in what was a too-close-for-comfort win in Death Valley. Florida State in 2014 taught us that winning convincingly matters to a point (no pun intended). An undefeated ACC champ should be in, even if it hasnt dominated lesser opponents. But dont assume a perfect record means No. 1. Clemsons offense will have to be more efficient on Oct. 29, when it travels to Florida State -- if the Tigers want to finish undefeated, theyre going to have to stop turning the ball over. But an ugly win is still a good win for Clemson, and its worth noting that even a loss in Tallahassee wont keep the Tigers out of the ACC championship game. Even a one-loss ACC champ would likely still get in the CFP.Ole Miss: The Rebels have officially been eliminated from the national spotlight. After losing to Florida State and Alabama, the Rebels were a long shot to win the SEC West, but they were clinging to hope -- until they lost to Arkansas. ' ' '
