COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. Adidas Ultra Boost Sale Womens . - Mikaela Shiffrin has hardly had time to catch her breath since the world last saw the vivacious teen bounding to the slalom title in breathtaking fashion — remember, she nearly fell — at the Sochi Olympics.Shes walked the red carpet at award ceremonies, taken online classes (she wants to be an environmental engineer when she grows up), been a fixture in the weight room (for more muscle definition) and sharpened her technique so she can accelerate her game plan.More speed is next on the agenda for the 19-year-old technical specialist. Shiffrin will sprinkle in a few super-G races to her schedule this season. All part of the gradual development of the young talent whos rapidly becoming the face of skiing — if shes not there already. It (notoriety) is starting to pick up a bit, said Shiffrin, who will race in a World Cup giant slalom and slalom this weekend in Aspen. At every training session, more people know who I am, maybe want a picture or an autograph. Otherwise, though, its been pretty calm and enjoyable.Shiffrin got off to a roaring start this season, winning the opening giant slalom in Soelden, Austria, in October. Her first career win in that discipline this soon in the year was a little unexpected, considering she just started breaking in a new pair of GS skis a few months ago.It has her thinking even grander thoughts, with possibly taking the starting line for a super-G race in, say, Val dIsere, France, next month.Thats a big leap for the skier whos taken incremental steps in her growth. She feels ready, though, for super-G races that can reach speed around 70 mph.My coach and I decided that if my giant slalom is going in right direction — and hopefully based off how did at Soelden it is — wed try to race some super-Gs this year, Shiffrin explained. Im feeling much more comfortable on my skis now.Hasnt she always? After all, shes been billed as the next big thing on the slopes for years, and lived up to that lofty reputation at every turn. With her win in Soelden, she became just the eighth female skier to win 10 or more World Cup races as a teenager. Austrian standout Annemarie Moser-Proell holds the record with 27 wins before turning 20.Shiffrin doesnt turn 20 until March, so she has time to add to her total.I never really predicted how much success I was going to have. I never even tried to, Shiffrin said. I dont think its something you can predict. I tried to work as hard as I could, to get my skiing where I thought it needed to be to race World Cup. Once I got to the level of World Cup, I wanted to win a World Cup. Once I won a World Cup, I wanted to win more.Theres always a higher level to shoot for.Shiffrin has a little confession to make: She doesnt enjoy watching replays of her winning Olympic slalom run from last February.Makes her too nervous, especially the part where about halfway through the second leg she briefly lost her balance. Her left ski rose too far off the snow and her chance at a gold medal in the event shes dominated for two years seemed about to slip away. But she recovered. And later, wore the gold medal around her neck. When she does interviews and its shown to her, she tries to stay calm, but all she wants to do is shield her eyes from watching that near tumble.Even now, my heart is beating out of my chest. My toes are in my throat, she said. Its a really nervous feeling. Every time, its like, Why did I do that?Shiffrin has that gold medal locked up and doesnt want to disclose the location because, theyd maybe go and steal it.But doesnt she want to show it off?Mine is not on display, said Shiffrin, whos looking forward to the world championships being held near her hometown of Eagle-Vail in February so she can sleep in her own bed. That would be pretentious. And no one would ever accuse her of being pretentious. This summer has flown by for Shiffrin.Sure, shes done some fun things — such as attending the ESPY Awards — but she spent most of her time honing her technique or in the gym working out. She wants to be stronger for the super-G races, since its a longer and more grueling discipline. Shes also cut fatty meats from her diet. Were trying to find the limit of what we can bring into ski racing, Shiffrin said. Adidas Ultra Boost Shoes Cheap . VANCOUVER -- The Montreal Canadiens traded defenceman Raphael Diaz to the Vancouver Canucks on Monday in exchange for forward Dale Weise. The 28-year-old Diaz had 11 assists and 12 penalty minutes in 46 games for the Canadiens this season. The native of Baar, Switzerland, has 41 points (four goals, 37 assists) and 48 penalty minutes in 128 NHL career games but was a healthy scratch of late with Montreal. "This is the business. This is the way it is," Diaz said Monday on a conference call. "As a player you want to play as much as you can and you want to help you team." Diaz joins a Canucks blue-line that has suffered a number of injuries in recent weeks, with both Christopher Tanev and Kevin Bieksa currently out of the lineup. "As a sportsman, as a hockey player, you respect everything (teams) do," he said. "(The Canadiens) always treated me good. They helped me learn a lot things to play in the NHL. "Im really excited for the new opportunity." Meanwhile, Weise never seemed to fit into the plans of Canucks head coach John Tortorella. In 162 career NHL games, the 25-year-old has 10 goals, 16 assists and 185 penalty minutes. Weises name had been mentioned in trade speculation in recent weeks, but Mondays deal still caught him off guard. "(The trade) comes as a little bit of a shock to me," said Weise. The Tournament of Champions, which starts Friday, is his first event since a freak accident in Shanghai two months ago. Snedeker was on a Segway scooter during a corporate outing at Sheshan International when he took a tumble and injured his left knee. "I had been on one all day in this pro-am," Snedeker said Wednesday. "I was going down the last hole, seeing how fast I could get it going. I hit a sprinkler head, lost control a little bit and jumped off. I landed on my knee and my knee popped." He feared he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament. Just his luck, he only suffered a small tear, along with a cracked tibia and a deep bone bruise. It was enough to keep him out of the Australian PGA, World Challenge in California and the Franklin Templeton Shootout in Florida. Harris English replaced him as Matt Kuchars partner in the Shootout, and they went on to win. Snedeker said the knee feels good, though the real test starts Friday. He spent last week playing at Hideaway in the California desert, walking 18 holes a day and carrying his own bag. The good news at Kapalua is that he has his caddie. Not so good is that the Plantation Course was built on the side of a mountain, featuring some of the steepest climbs hell face all year. "Ive had a few aches and pains of playing again, but nothing that concerns me," Snedeker said. "The only thing Im worried about is walking 18 holes here. Palm Springs is dead flag. Walking this golf course is a little different." And the last time the six-time PGA Tour winner carrieed his own bag? "Its funny, I got into this routine of doing it after injuries," Snedeker said. Adidas Ultra Boost Shoes Cheap. Not so funny is that it has become a routine. In his seven years on tour, Snedeker has had surgery on both hips to correct a degenerative problem. He missed the 2012 U.S. Open because of a rib injury. After one of the hottest stretches of last year -- second to Tiger Woods at Torrey Pines, second to Phil Mickelson in Phoenix and then a victory at Pebble Beach -- Snedeker had recurring problems with his ribs and missed the next month. Snedeker said his rookie season was his only injury-free year. "Its very concerning," he said. "I dont consider myself that, but the evidence bears out that I am injury-prone. Over the course of your career, youre going to have injuries. Im hoping all mine are in a five-year stretch." Hes been taking medication and paying close attention to his diet to stay on top of his fitness, but just like most people, Snedeker will stray on occasion. "You get healthy and you forget about it," he said. "You get injured and you start worrying. Im no different from anyone else." Now, he can hope thats all behind him. Snedeker believes the best part of his career is ahead of him, and hes excited about the major championship venues, with Pinehurst No. 2 among his favourite course in America. He was tied with Angel Cabrera going into the final round of the Masters last year, and he has come to love links golf at the British Open, with strong showings the last two years. His biggest goal for 2014? "Im looking forward to playing an injury-free year," he said with a grin. DETROIT -- Prosecutors said Wednesday they plan to review a request for charges against a 28-year-old Detroit Tigers player following a sexual assault complaint. Alvaro Fernandez Seattle Sounders Jersey . The Wayne County prosecutors office has received a warrant request from police and a charging decision isnt expected this week. The prosecutors office didnt release the players name, but said the alleged assault took place March 30 at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit. In April, The Associated Press and others reported 28-year-old Tigers right-hander Evan Reed was facing a sexual assault complaint. "A thorough review of all of the evidence must be conducted before a decision can be made," the prosecutors office said in a statement. "No further information about the case will be released until a charging decision is made." A statement Wednesday from David Gorcyca and Ben M. Gonek, Reeds attorneys, said Reed has fully co-operated with the Detroit Police Department since the investigation began, and Reed also voluntarily gave a statement to investigators. "Evan, through his lawyers, in a rare move also provided the Detroit Police Department with witness statements, a test result, and a supplemental witness statement which details the alleged complainants actions after the incident," they said. In the statement, Gorcyca and Gonek said they are confident the case "will be closed" after a review from prosecutors. The Tigers were in Cleveland on Wednesday to wrap up a series against the Indians before returning to Detroit. Reed, a reliever, is 0-1 with a 3.0 ERA this season. Hes pitched in 17 games. Signs of a turnaround have emerged in this series at Minnesota. Brian Roberts had three doubles and a triple for the first four-extra-base-hit game of his 14-year career, and the Yankees used their bullpen to preserve a 6-5 win over the Twins on Friday. "Hitting is contagious. I think it goes both ways," said Roberts, who raised his batting average by 11 points to .248. "When a couple guys start struggling, sometimes everybody starts struggling. A couple guys start hitting, it can kind of roll. So hopefully well fall in that direction." David Huff (2-0), the first of four New York relievers, struck out three in three perfect innings after starter Chase Whitley faltered. David Robertson notched his 20th save in the ninth. "Its always big when the bullpen can pick up six innings and we still get a win out of it," Robertson said. The veterans in the lineup did the heavy lifting early on. Jacoby Ellsbury delivered a two-run single in the second to help finish off Twins starter Kyle Gibson (7-7), and the Yankees had 10 hits for the second straight game. "It was probably the most frustrating part, looking back," Gibson said of Ellsburys hit that pushed the lead to 6-1. Gibson brought the American Leagues best home-ballpark ERA among qualified pitchers at 1.54, but he only lasted two innings against the Yankees. One of the runs on his line was unearned, due to a passed ball by Kurt Suzuki that let Mark Teixeira move up and later score on Carlos Beltrans sacrifice fly in the first, but almost every ball was hit hard. "They jumped on him and never let him breathe," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. Brett Gardner led off the game with a triple, Roberts drove him in with a double and Gibson was on his way to that kind of day. He gave up six hits and one walk, without any strikeouts. Teixeira had an RBI double, and Brendan Ryan added a sacrifice fly. "Weve said all along these guys are good hitters, and eventually its going to turn," Yankees managger Joe Girardi said. Dylan Remick Jersey. The matchup on the mound between Whitley and Gibson quickly deteriorated, but a legitimate duel between Huff and Sam Deduno developed. Whitley gave up eight hits, four runs and one walk in three innings with four strikeouts, putting his spot in the injury-depleted rotation in a tenuous place. The rookie was unbeaten in his first seven starts, allowing three runs or fewer each time, but he has allowed a whopping 27 hits and 17 runs in 10 1-3 innings over his last three turns. "Its very frustrating, but youve got to keep working to give the team a chance to win," Whitley said. Brian Dozier led off the Minnesota first with his 16th homer, and Chris Colabello went deep the next inning in his first at-bat since May 23.csingle to pull the Twins within two before Huff took charge. "Whether he goes eight or he goes three, were always going to be ready for him. Were there to back him up and get him through the game," Huff said. Dellin Betances dodged trouble in the eighth inning after Colabello cut the lead to one with an RBI groundout. Teixeira made a diving stop to his right at first base on Eduardo Escobars sharp grounder, recovering in time to throw to Betances for the third out with a runner on third. This Independence Day game, pitting the Yankees and Twins at Target Field for the second straight year, was preceded by a ceremony for the 75th anniversary of Lou Gehrigs moving farewell address, shortly after he was diagnosed with the degenerative neurological disease that later took his name. WINNIPEG -- Winnipeg head coach Mike OShea isnt just disappointed that the Blue Bombers lost. Phillipp Steinhart Jersey . OShea disliked the Blue Bombers performance in a 26-3 to the Edmonton Eskimos on Thursday in front of Winnipegs largest home crowd of the season. "The biggest disappointment, besides teammates thinking they let down teammates, is having a crowd like that and putting that kind of effort forward," said OShea, as the Bombers fell to 3-1. The crowd at Investors Group Field topped 30,000 for the first time this season with 30,976 in attendance to watch the Eskimos claim sole possession of first place in the CFL West at 4-0. A scrambling Mike Reilly may have been the difference maker. He rushed for a team leading 96 yards in a game where defences on both sides were making life hard for offences. "It was a long night for both offences, I think," said the Eskimos quarterback, sacked four times to five for Winnipegs Drew Willy. Reilly was held to one offensive touchdown, with another scored by the defence and the rest of Edmontons points coming from Grant Shaw field goals. Winnipeg had only one field goal from Liram Hajrullahu and he hit a post on another try. "Both those defences are really good," said Reilly. "Even in the first half we had some good drives that we didnt finish off. So, certainly, we like to come away with touchdowns rather than field goals but the way our defence is playing right now, its enough to get the win." Slotback Fred Stamps, one of the teams best and most consistent receivers, was injured in the game and coach Chris Jones said later he was still being evaluated. He left the field after the game on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on and was taken to a Winnipeg hospital for precautionary testing. "It was a physical night for both sides and again our quarterback got tested a time too many (but) again hes a physical big quarterback and thats what he does, hes a winner," said Jones. "They were 3-0 for a reason. Theyre a good football team and theyve got great schemes and things of that nature and we had to go out and earn that win." OShea said the way Reilly slipped tackles time and time again showed the Bombers his power, something they knew he had worked on in the off-season. "Yeah hes strong and tough," said OShea. "We underestimated him and give him that credit and when we look at the film well be disappointed we didnt squeeze a little harder and bring him down." That said, the defence kept the Bombers in the game. Winnipegs offence had the ball for just 21:34 to Edmontons 38:26. But in the first and final quarters, when the Eskimos scored 20 of their points, the Bombers had the ball for less than seven of those minutes. "We never got a rhythm going," said Willy. "We left our defence out there. They played really well. Anytime you dont possess the ball very much its tough to put points on the board." He was wearing an ice bag on his left ankle but said he wasnt hurt that badly and it wont affect his ability to play next week in B.C. Edmontons only touchdown in almost 50 minutes of football came from the defence on a first-quarter interception, carried in by former Bomber bad boy Odell Willis. But despite some solid drives (Edmonton had 24 first downs to Winnipegs 11) all the Eskimos offence could muster were field goals until the fourth quarter. With Stamps injured, Reilly finally connected with A.J. Guyton with a 13-yard throw to make it 20-3 with about 10 minutes left, the first and only touchdown by the offence. He said Stamps would have drawn more coverage. The Bomber offence had hardly touched the ball until Nic Grigsby gave them a first down with just over two minutes left in the second quarter. Willy followed with a 50-yard throw to Clarence Denmark but he was sacked on the next play and Denmark couldnt hold it in the end zone on a touchdown try, forcing Winnipeg to settle for a field goal. Brad Malone and Eric Staal each scored a goal for the Hurricanes, who snapped a three-game slide. The Flyers lost their fourth straight game on this eight-game road trip, and have appeared to survive a scare after captain Claude Giroux went down with a left leg injury. Early in the third period, Giroux was chasing a puck down in the right corner of the Carolina end and got tangled up with Justin Faulk. As Faulk was putting hit left leg down, his skate caught the back of Girouxs left ankle, and it appeared that Giroux was bleeding through his equipment. Giroux was tended to on the ice by a trainer and eventually taken into the locker room. After the game, though, the team announced that the cut wasnt bad, and Giroux is probable for Saturdays game in New Jersey. Chris VandeVelde scored the lone goal for Philadelphia, with Steven Mason turrning away 24 shots. Jan Kirchhoff Jersey. Malone scored on a snap shot at 13:41 of the first for his first goal of the season. The Hurricanes moved their advantage to 2-0 just 41 seconds into the second period, as a turnover saw Jordan Staal eventually send a wrister on net from the slot, with Eric Staal putting home the rebound from the left side. Philly cut its deficit to one at the 8:45 mark of the third as Vincent Lecavalier skated in down the middle and left the puck at the top of the left circle for VandeVelde, who slid over to the slot and snapped it home for his second of the year. The Flyers pulled Mason from the net with just under two minutes to play, but Ward made a couple of stops late in the game to preserve the win. Game Notes The Hurricanes host Boston on Sunday ... Having won the first leg 1-0 in Barcelona, Madrid entered the match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium already in control and quickly sealed its place in the semifinals when Jese Rodriguez scored in the seventh minute. The young forward continued to win over Madrids fans by chesting forward Xabi Alonsos precise lobbed pass while on the run before firing the ball beyond goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork. Mario Gaspar Jersey .com) - Kemba Walker scored nine of Charlottes last 10 points to lead the Hornets to a 98-94 comeback win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. Walker totaled 31 points, giving him his third 30-point game in a row for the Hornets, who have won all three. Gerald Henderson added 16 points, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds. Anthony Davis had 32 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks for the Pelicans, who have lost three of their last four. New Orleans led by as much as 13 in the second half but could not hang on. The Pelicans also got 16 points, nine assists and six rebounds from Jrue Holiday, and Eric Gordon contributed 14 points. Brian Roberts triple on the opening possession of the fourth quarter tied the game for the first time since late in the first, but Davis dunk on the other end put the Pelicans back in front. For the next 4 1/2 minutes, neither team led by more than two until a 6-0 Hornets run capped by Jason Maxiells jumper put Charlotte ahead 84-79 with 6:25 left. The Hornets ran their lead up to as many as eight points, but after Davis scored the next five, Gordons 3 with 1:59 to go tied the game. Coming out of a timeout with 23 seconds remaining, Walker hit a fadeaway jumper over Davis to put Charlotte up 94-92. Davis layup tied the game on the other end, but that left too much time for Walker. With seconds remaining, the Hornets went up again on an acrobatic shot from Walker. He drove to the basket, pulled up for a jumper and hit the shot despite contact from Holiday. His free throw completed the three-point play to give Charlotte a 97-94 lead with 1.4 seconds left. The Hornets stole the inbounds pass to seal the win. I was just trying to make a play, said Walker. Time was running down, and I was just trying to get as far as I can to the basket. The first quarter was controlled by the Pelicans. New Orleans scored the first six points of the game and led 27-20 after one thanks to a three-point play by Davis with 20 seconds to go in the quarter. The Hornets tightened up their defense in the second period and limited New Orleans to 35 percent shooting. After Davis turnaround jumper with 2:24 to go in the half put the Pelicans up 10, Walker scored the final five points of the quarter for the Hornets as New Orleans led 48-41 at halftime. After Gordons 3-pointer with 6:35 to go in the third gave the Pelicans a 13- point lead, Charlotte started a 10-0 run with eight points from Henderson to pull within three. We just fell apart, said Pelicans coach Monty Williams. We didnt share the ball, the thing weve been talking about. Especially down the stretch, the ball just stuck. Walker closed the third with four straight points to cut Charlottes deficit to 70-67 after three. Game Notes Roberts scored 10 off the bench ... Tyreke Evans scored 10 points and had seven boards for New Orleans ... The Pelicans shot 6-of-18 from beyond the arc, and the Hornets made 4-of-14 ... Soft-spoken and doggedly determined, Ilgauskas, who overcame serious injuries and personal tragedy to become one of Clevelands best and most beloved players, will have his No. 11 jersey retired Saturday night during an elaborate halftime ceremony certain to be emotionally poignant. The seventh player in team history to receive the honour, Ilgauskas joins Austin Carr, Nate Thurmond, Bobby "Bingo" Smith, Larry Nance, Brad Daugherty and Mark Price in having his number raised to the rafters of Quicken Loans Arena. All of them have career credentials worthy of the tribute, but the celebration for Ilgauskas goes far beyond any statistics. "Throw basketball stuff out the window," Cavs coach Mike Brown said. "Hes a terrific human being." Ilgauskas will be joined at the celebration by his wife, Jennifer, and their adopted sons, Deividas and Povilas. Hell be surrounded by family members, friends, former coaches and teammates, including LeBron James, who was invited by Ilgauskas and wanted to support the player known simply as "Z." "Probably one of the most talented guys I ever played with," James said. Ilgauskas conquered career-threatening foot injuries to become a two-time NBA All-Star as well as the Cavs career leader in rebounds (5,904), games played (771) and blocks (1,269). Hes second on the scoring list, behind only James. A gentle giant off the floor, Ilgauskas accomplished it all through hard work, enduring endless hours of grueling rehab and treatment to fulfil a dream that began as a small boy playing soccer and volleyball in Lithuania. Ilgauskas spent 12 seasons with the Cavs, and for a long stretch of his tenure he was the only good thing about the franchise. That all changed when James arrived in 2003, and along with Ilgauskas -- an odd couple if there ever was one -- they led the Cavs to their only NBA finals appearance in 2007. One of the enduring moments in Cleveland sports over the last 30 years was James and Ilgauskas wrapping their arms around each otherr to celebrate the Cavs win over Detroit in the Eastern Conference finals. Iker Casillas Spain Jersey. After being traded, Ilgauskas followed James to Miami and played one season with the Heat. Ilgauskas retired in 2011, but returned to the Cavs the following year and has been working as a special assistant to the general manager. Hes always been special. Ilgauskas connected with Cleveland fans like few pro athletes. Big Z endeared himself with his perseverance, resilience, loyalty and a dry, self-deprecating sense of humour. Shortly after undergoing his second major foot surgery, Ilgauskas quipped he "had as much hardware as Home Depot" in his feet. The Cavs selected Ilgauskas with the 20th overall pick in 1996, and after a promising rookie season in 1997-98, he encountered the first of many medical obstacles. Shortly after signing a six-year, $71 million contract, he broke his left foot just five games into the 1998-99 season. It didnt heal properly and Ilgauskas sat out the entire 1999-2000 season. Ilgauskas seemed poised to become one of the leagues top centres, but felt a sharp pain in his left foot during a game in Miami. Ilgauskas took himself out, and broke down in the locker room after, knowing his playing days might be over at 25. After visiting foot specialists across the country, Ilgauskas underwent a risky operation to have his left foot radically reconstructed. He tortured himself during workouts to get back, and spent countless hours getting treatment on his feet, which required extensive icing before and after he played. It all paid off when Ilgauskas was named an All-Star reserve in 2003. There were other hardships, the most challenging in 2007 when he and Jennifer lost the twins she was carrying. Through it all, Ilgauskas was the consummate teammate. "Zs like a big brother to me," Cavs centre Anderson Varejao said. "He helped me a lot in this league, with everything, basketball, on the road. When I got here I didnt speak any English. He put me under his wing and took care of me. Hes a big part of my life." And in Cleveland, Ilgauskas has always been so much more than big. TORONTO -- Even the pinch-hit return of Jose Bautista could not help the Toronto Blue Jays. Renato Sanches Bayern Munich Jersey . The all-star right-fielder appeared in his first game in a week, pinch hitting in the sixth inning but grounding in to a force out on Sunday as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Blue Jays 4-0, Torontos third loss in a row. "Hopefully, Bautistas back in here the next couple of games to give us kind of a jolt in the lineup," said Blue Jays left-hander Mark Buehrle who took the loss despite holding the White Sox to two runs in eight innings. Chicago got seven strong innings from left-hander Jose Quintana (5-7) and a home run and a double from right-fielder Moises Sierra, who started the season with Toronto. Bautista, who did not play in at all the in the previous six games because of a mild left hamstring strain, hopes that he will be able to return full-time by Tuesday when the Blue Jays next play. "Everybody knows I cant go out on the field and not be 100 per cent," Bautista said before the game after testing the leg by running. "Hopefully by Tuesday I feel better and I can be in the outfield. If not I can DH the whole game and play the day after." The return of the right-fielder cannot come soon enough. The Blue Jays finished with a 12-15 record in June after winning the first five games of the month. They lead the American League East despite losing nine of their past 13 games. The Blue Jays won only the opener of the four-game series against the White Sox (39-44) who are fourth in the American League Central. Besides Bautistas potent right-handed bat, Toronto (45-39) is also without Brett Lawrie who is on the disabled list with a broken right index finger. "Theyre a big part of it, no question about that," said Blue Jays manager John Gibbons . "Really its been a couple of weeks weve been cold, regardless. We had some games in there we put some runs up. Overall, since our big streak (21-9 in May), weve cooled off quite a bit there. We need to get going. Today was just kind of flat, one of those dead days. "Buehrle pitched good enough to win, he really did. He did what he always does. We got zero going and its frustrating." Torontos hitters are frustrated with the scoring drought as well. "It is hard because you never know whos going to be in the lineup," said Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes who had a double and a single on Sunday. "Theres a lot of different people every single day, coming up from the minor leagues and stuff. People need to step it up. If we want to continue to be in first place we need to play better baseball." Quintana held the Blue Jays to three hits and two walks while striking out seven. Hes won back-to-back starts. Buehrle (10-5), who has not won since June 1, lost for the fourth time in his past five starts. He allowed six hits, two walks and two runs while striking out five against in his second career start against his former team. White Sox designated hitter Jose Abreu extended his hit streak to 14 games with an RBI single in the third inning. He drove in second baseman Gordon Beckham who hit a two-out double. Sierra hit his second homer of the season with one out in the fourth to put the White Sox into a 2-0 lead. Chicago claimed Sierra off waivers from the Blue Jays on May 3. Buehrle knows Sierra will chase pitches out of the strike zone from watching him Toronto but lamented his change-up down the middle of the plate. "I pretty much teed one up for him and thats what hes supposed to do with it," Buehrle said. The Blue Jays did not have as many as two runners on base in an inning until the sixth when Reyes doubled with one out and designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion walked with two out. That brought out Bautista, who had not played since June 22, to bat for catcher Dioner Navarro. Reyes took third on a wild pitch as Bautista worked the count to 3-2 on Quintana. But he hit a ground ball to shortstop and Encarnacion was forced out at second to end the inning. "I tried to keep the ball down with him," Quintana said. "Behind in the count 2-0, I wanted to keep the ball away. After Im behind in the count, I just tried to get the round ball." The White Sox added two runs in the ninth against right-hander Sergio Santos on a single by catcher Tyler Flowers. It scored first baseman Paul Konerko who walked with one out and took third on Sierras double. Left-hander Eric Surkamp pitched the eighth and right-hander Jake Petricka took over for the ninth. Cabrera, who needed a day off and has not hit Quintana well in his career, pinch hit unsuccessfully in the eighth against Surkamp. aThe Blue Jays have Monday off before concluding their home stand with two afternoon games against the Milwaukee Brewers with right-hander Drew Hutchison (5-6, 4.00) facing right-hander Marco Estrada (7-4, 5.06 ERA) on Tuesday. On Thursday night, Indianas flamboyant guard had a big night on national television. Stephenson had a career-high 28 points, four rebounds and four assists and led the Pacers to their second-most lopsided win of the season, 117-89 over the Knicks. "If hes flashy, hes being flashy making basketball coach," coach Frank Vogel said. "One of our assistants said, Boy, I wish I had Lances energy every day. His competitive spirit is as high as anyone weve coached." Stephenson has been playing this way all season. He leads the NBA with three triple-doubles, the most of any Pacers player since Detlef Schrempf in 1992-93. With any luck, hed have a couple of more, too. And after a nasty crossover or spectacular move to the basket, he might show off some of that New York flair by wiggling his hips. But the Nets and Knicks seem to bring out the best in the Brooklyn native. This time, on a night that may serve as an audition for the All-Star selectors, he showed the whole basketball world what he could do. Stephenson went 10 of 17 from the field, 5 of 5 from the free-throw line, 3 of 7 on 3-pointers and had no turnovers in 28 minutes. His previous scoring high (26) came Dec. 23 in a 103-86 win at Brooklyn, and before this season, Stephenson had scored 22 points just two times -- once against Chicago in April 2012; the other, of course, came at Madison Square Garden last spring. Even a former Indiana University basketball star like Mike Woodson, who was drilled in defence under Bob Knight, came away impressed. "Youve really got to tip your hat to him," the Knicks coach said. "We had no answers for him." That has been a league-wide problem for Pacers foes, and not just against Stephenson. Indiana won its third straight to maintain its grip on the NBAs best record, extend its Eastern Conference lead over Miami to four games and continue its claim to the leagues best home record, 20-1. The Pacers arent slowing down, either. They beat Washington by 27 on Friday, Sacramento by 24 on Tuesday and handed what was one of the leagues hottest teams its most embarrassing road loss of the season. For the most part, Indiana has relied on its staunch defence. Stephenson andd Paul George have suddenly given Indiana a devastating offensive punch, too. Robert Lewandowski Bayern Munich Jersey. George added 25 points and seven rebounds on a night six players scored in double figures. The Pacers produced season highs for total points and points in a half (63) for the second straight game, and they even heeded the advice of team president Larry Bird, by cutting down their turnovers to a season-low five. "We have set a goal, and we want to be the No. 1 seed (in the East)," Stephenson said. "Every night I try to bring something to the table." The Knicks just couldnt keep up. Carmelo Anthony finished with 28 points, nine in the first six minutes and 18 in the first quarter when it was still a game. Tyson Chandler had 13 points and nine rebounds, while Raymond Felton and J.R. Smith each had 12. Smith played nearly 28 minutes after being benched in two of the Knicks previous four games. "Theyre a good team, but I dont think theyre 30 points better than our team," Woodson said after the rematch of last springs conference semifinals, which Indiana also won. "We were awful." Things started well for New York as Anthony pushed them to a 16-8 lead. But the Pacers rallied with an 11-2 run to take a 28-26 lead. Anthony bailed out the Knicks with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to make it 31-30 after one. Indiana seized control with an 11-1 spurt midway through the second quarter and pulled away late in the first half with a 16-7 run. That made it 63-48 at halftime. George opened the second half by scoring 10 points in a 15-8 spurt, which made it 78-56, and Stephenson closed it out as the Knicks couldnt get closer than 16 the rest of the way. "We understand how good we are when we run," George said. "I think thats the best way to put and the biggest way to look at it." NOTES: Kenyon Martin left in the second quarter and Amare Stoudemire followed him to the locker room in the third quarter. Both had sprained left ankles and did not return. ...
